Kaleo Church, led by pastor David Fairchild, is a movement of churches in the San Diego, CA area. Kaleo, part of the Acts 29 church planting network, “desires to be a church that is centered on the gospel, preaches through the Bible, engages in mercy ministries on behalf of the city and plants churches throughout the city.”

Though already armed with a nicely built website, Kaleo felt that the layout didn't reflect the personality of the church and hindered them from communicating their vision effectively with new visitors. Seeking to remedy this problem and desiring a fresh new look, Kaleo approached Designwise to rethink the layout and put a new face on their site.

Since Kaleo is a church–plant movement, presenting a website that is attractive to a wide range of people while communicating the personality & focus of the church body is key. The new design contains elements of the old site to maintain some branding but mostly is a complete overhaul, communicating that Kaleo is visitor-friendly, passionate about preaching the gospel, is engaged with the culture, and loves the city of San Diego.
